I am pleased to present you to a musical instrument GUDA.
The instrument consists from two hemispheres made from 1,2mm steel. The lower hemisphere has no hole and serves as the amplifier of the resonance. The oval-shaped tongues are located at the upper hemisphere.
Our innovation consists in the method of tuning. Manipulation and forging of the tongue causes very intresting effect – one tongue produces 2 notes instead of one: main tone+overtone, which is commonly tuned +1 octave.
I have built several dozen Gudas in different scales (Celtic Minor, Hijaz, different minor, major and pentatonic scales and other).
