I am pleased to present you to a musical instrument GUDA drum mini.
The instrument consists from two hemispheres made from 1,5 mm steel. The lower hemisphere has no hole and serves as the amplifier of the resonance. The oval-shaped tongues are located at the upper hemisphere.
Our innovation consists in the method of tuning. Manipulation and forging of the tongue causes very intresting effect – one tongue produces 2 notes instead of one: main tone+overtone, which is commonly tuned +1 octave.
I have built several dozen Gudas in different scales (Celtic Minor, Hijaz, different minor, major and pentatonic scales and other).
