About Violet GUDA drum MINI Overtone Plus Metatron’s cube
My innovation consists in the method of tuning. Manipulation and forging of the tongue causes very intresting effect – one tongue produces 2 notes instead of one: main tone+overtone, which is commonly tuned +1 octave. This is effect makes sound more volumetric and deep.
MINI Overtone Plus is designed specifically for travel. It’s easy to take it with you to nature, in a car or plane. MINI Overtone Plus is lightweight and compact. However, it has a very rich and full-bodied sound. The instrument consists from two hemispheres made from 1,5 mm steel. Nine oval-shaped tongues located at the upper hemisphere. The lower hemisphere has no holes and serves as the amplifier of the resonance.
Design
This model made of stainless steel and painted with special thermo-resistant paint. This coating is smooth and glossy to the touch. Violet has many shades from deep blue to emerald that shimmer and sparkle depending on the lighting and the angle of incidence of the light. The name of Metatron’s Cube makes reference to Metatron, an angel mentioned in apocryphal texts including the Second Book of Enoch and the Book of the Palaces.
